Sergeant Brett Handschke established his law enforcement career with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office in 2019. Throughout his career, he served as a Patrol Deputy on both night shift and day shift.
Prior to his career in law enforcement, Sergeant Handschke pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2018. Sergeant Handschke attended the Fox Valley Technical College Law Enforcement Academy, graduating in 2018.
As a Patrol Deputy, Sergeant Handschke was a Field Training Officer (FTO), where he imparted invaluable knowledge and skills to new recruits, ensuring the next generation of officers were well-prepared for duty.
Sergeant Handschke’s dedication extends beyond routine patrols as he actively contributes to specialized teams within the Sheriff’s Office. These specialized teams include Water Patrol, Mobile Field Force and Deputy Reserves.
