Sheriff Mylan C. Fink Jr.
Sheriff Mylan "Mick" Fink started with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office in April 1981 after being honorably discharged from the United States Air Force. Fink began his career with the Sheriff's Office as a Correctional Officer. In January 1984 he was promoted to Patrol Officer and in 1988 he was promoted to Detective. During his tenure as Detective, he served as SWAT Commander, Command Post Coordinator and was in charge of the Sheriff's Honor Guard. In April 1998 he was promoted to the rank of Undersheriff/Chief Deputy. In November 2006 he was elected Sheriff of Fond du Lac County. Fink was elected to a second term in November 2010.
Chief Deputy Mark R. Strand
Chief Deputy/Undersheriff Mark Strand began his career with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office as a Correctional Officer in 1981. He became a Patrol Officer in 1983 and served in that capacity until 1992 when be was appointed Sergeant. In 1997 Strand was promoted to Lieutenant and in March 1999 Strand was promoted to Jail Administrator. Mark Strand was appointed Chief Deputy/Undersheriff in November 2006. Chief Deputy Strand has served as a K-9 Officer, Dive Team, Boat Patrol and has been on Promotion Boards. Strand holds a Bachelors Degree from UW-Oshkosh in Criminal Justice and a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership from Marian College.
