05/09/17 - UPDATE - Schmitty's Hit & Run

Post Date:05/09/2017
UPDATE 05-09-17

The Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate this crash and has new information. After analysis of the small pieces of broken passenger side headlamp lens, deputies were able to identify that the vehicle involved in this crash is a 2009 to 2017 Ram half-ton pickup truck.

Additional witnesses that have come forward state they saw a metallic color pickup truck with a topper driven by an approximately 30-year-old male wearing a camouflage baseball cap leaving the parking lot of Schmitty’s Bar & Grill just prior to the time of the crash. It is unknown if this was the same vehicle that struck the pedestrian, but is a person of interest we are working to identify.

The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the witnesses that have come forward, and encourage anyone with additional information to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 920-929-3390. They can also report anonymously by calling the Fond du Lac County Law Enforcement Tip Line at 920-906-4777.
